Assessment Centre Locations
Dear OHT Physicians,
I hope you have taken the time to enjoy the summer. Many of you are probably anxious about the Fall, including planning for flu shot clinics and the start of the cold and flu season which is complicated by the ongoing COVID pandemic.
Our OHT partners including MSH, Public Health and Ontario Health are working closely together to plan for the flu season, including
1) Strategy for flu shots: we are exploring options of pop-up and mobile clinics to maximize uptake in our vulnerable populations
2) Respiratory and Febrile Illness Assessment Centre: which will be an expansion of the existing MSH assessment centre that will add diagnostic capabilities and pediatric support
3) Developing a Webinar and regular communications to keep our community informed of plans
Current Assessment Centre Locations covering our OHT:
1. Markham-Stouffville Hospital Assessment Centre
Located on the south side of the hospital just east of the Emergency Department. Open weekdays 9 a.m. – 7 p.m, weekends & Holidays 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. All patients must pre-register the same-day before coming to be swabbed for COVID-19. To pre-register call 905-472-7670.

2. North Durham COVID Assessment Centre (NDCAC)
New starting August 4th, a community assessment centre supported by family physicians from Uxbridge and Port Perry. Located at Prince Albert Hall on 19 Jeffery St, Prince Albert, ON (South of Port Perry). Open Monday -Thursday 12-8 pm; Friday/Sat/Sun 12-4 pm. Pre-register online: covidswab.lh.ca.
