2 Announcements regarding COVID Vaccination.
1. L3S and L6G Pop-Up Vaccination Clinic Mon May 17 - Fri May 21
Location: Islamic Society of Markham – Markham Masjid, 2900 Denison St, Markham
Eligibility: Age 60+ (born in 1961 or earlier) who live in the L3S or L6G postal code, including individuals of all religions or non-religious individuals
To further improve accessibility for those who live in these postal codes, each individual over 60 receiving the vaccine may be accompanied by one family member or companion age 18+ who will also be offered a COVID-19 vaccine.
This clinic is by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

The Markham Masjid is a fully accessible building and private vaccination stations will be available

COVID-19 and the Black Community: Answering Questions about COVID-19 Vaccines
In March 2021, the Black Opportunity Fund and BlackNorth Initiative hosted a national forum on all things related to the COVID-19 vaccines and the Black community. Facilitated by CBC news Anchor Dwight Drummond, participants got the chance to hear from and engage with Black doctors, nurses, social workers, and other medical professions.
