OHT Updates: PCAC Elections, Cornell Vaccination Clinic, Carefirst Locum Opportunity

A few updates to provide

1) PCAC Elections

The two-year term of many of our Primary Care Advisory Council (PCAC) members will be ending as of February 28th, 2022. We will be holding elections in the new year. There will be vacancies in the roles of 1) Chair (15 hrs/week), 2) PCAC physician members (2 hrs/month) and 3) PCAC administrator member (office manager or FHT executive director, 2 hrs/month). I'd like each of you to take the time to consider if you, a colleague or office admin are interested in joining PCAC. It is an excellent opportunity to represent primary care at the EYRND OHT, steer the strategic direction of our OHT and shape the initiatives to support our practices and our patients. Further details including remuneration for these positions is attached. I'll send another email out when we open applications.

2) Cornell Vaccination Clinic

The Cornell Vaccination Clinic is back! Boosters for age 70+ (eligibility to 50+ will be expanded Dec 13th) and for children ages 5 - 11 years old are available to be booked via the provincial booking portal https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/. Attached is a poster with more information.

3) Carefirst FHT Locum Opportunity

Carefirst is looking for locums for Dec 20 2021 - Jan 7, 2022, and a 9 month maternity leave locum starting March 2022. Attached for more details, please feel free to share with anyone who may be interested.
