Interested in Free MoCA training? New MHA Referral. Chair Opportunity.
Hi,
A few important updates
1) Potential Opportunity for Free MoCA training
The EYRND OHT partnering with the Western York Region OHT and the Alzheimer's Society on a First Link Integration Project. As part of the project, we are exploring the opportunity of having MoCA training covered by the OHT. The MoCA assessment helps clinicians diagnose patients with dementia earlier on in the progression of the disease. MoCA training is $150 with optional recertification in 2 years. The training takes 1 hour.
If you are interested in having MoCA training covered by the OHT, please complete this survey by Fri Feb 4: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DT96KW3. This opportunity is also open to allied health and family medicine residents within EYRND OHT family practices, so please forward to your allied health or residents in your practice if they are interested.
2) New Community Mental Health and Addictions Support Centralized ReferralStreamlined Access is very pleased to announce that in collaboration with the EYRND OHT, a new referral pathway has been developed to assist Primary Care Providers in connecting their patients to community mental health and addictions supports through a single referral form. Please see attached letter and referral form.
3) Primary Care Lead OpportunityI will be stepping down as the Primary Care Lead when my 2 year term ends at the end of February. We are recruiting for a new primary care lead to start March 1st for a 2 year term. This is a great opportunity to shape our local health system and advocate for stronger primary care support. The role is 1.5-2 days per week and is remunerated at $130/hr + HST. Responsibilities include Co-Chairing the Primary Care Advisory Council and participating at the EYRND OHT's Core Leadership Council, Ontario Health Central Region Primary Care Leadership Table and the Provincial OHT Primary Care Leads Table. Please email me if you have questions or are interested.
Thanks,
Em--
